There are many factors involved in achieving or not the results that we expect from working out in the gym. Below I will simplify them by explaining the 2 main reasons of why this is happening.
Lack of knowledge or having the wrong knowledge
We live in the information era. Now almost everyone has access to all type of information some way or another.
This is possible since everyone is free to provide any type of information and make it available to whoever wants to get it.
While this seems to be good, there is also a downside. There is not control or a way to filter how "good" the information is and this is one of the reasons why people do not get results. With all the tons of information available, some people get confused and they either follow a wrong advise or simply get overwhelmed and do not follow anything at all.
Very basic things are needed to get amazing results but since this is "boring" and "not attractive", some people make up stories and fancy information to attract customers, creating misconceptions and wrong believes among people (more of this in another article).
Because of this, a lot of people end up:
